Officially it’s 50,289 but regardless, as of yesterday Whistler Baby received 50,000 hits in a little under five months, and I thank you! I don’t know who you are exactly, probably just the twins’ biggest fans, the grandmas and aunties, each hitting the site roughly two thousand times a month. So we thank you guys too.

I started writing Whistler Baby way back in January about why I never leave the house. It’s hard work raising twin babies but I try to keep my head above the feedings, the diapers and everything else that needs to be done. Two extra mouths to feed. Two more bodies to clothe and wash and rest. The past ten months have been more exhausting than anything I’ve ever had to do before. Which isn’t saying much because my life until now has been very cruisey. But there are only so many four-hour increments of sleep one can take before you’re no longer fun. I was starting to wear down.

Getting my sleep back has changed my energy levels so that I can channel my inner child and get pretty stoked to be with my kids now that they are more than just babies. I mean, they are still my babies, but they are now little boys as well. Sometimes I think they are so there. They are so intelligent telling me what they want, I just have to listen.

I thank you all for joining me on the twins’ journey through babydom and appreciate your much-needed advice, tips, feedback and words of encouragement! When I feel most alone or confused or tired, I only have to read your comments and I feel I have you at my back. I never thought I’d say it, but I feel lucky to live in such a connected cyberworld.

We Love Ya!

Whistler Baby loves you baby!
